PRATHAM DANGOL · FRONTEND DEVELOPER

I build frontends that are fast, tested, and built to last.

I'm a frontend developer based in Birgunj, Nepal, working remotely with 2+ years building production React and TypeScript applications — from real-time features to fully tested, reliable interfaces using GraphQL, Cypress, and Jest.

A few things I've shipped.

A handful of products I've designed, built, and shipped end-to-end — from system design and UI through production code, tests, and deploys.

Sathi

A verified-professional community, built around trust before content.

Problem

Nepali professionals have no dedicated space to connect by verified profession, and students have no visibility into what those career paths actually look like day to day.

What I built

A verified-professional community platform with profile verification, a niche-based feed, a custom reputation system called Dhog, and a real-time messaging widget called Kura.

Key decision

Verification and reputation are the trust layer the whole feed design depends on — built first, before any content features.

Fretwork

A fast, clutter-free chord reference for guitar players.

Problem

Existing guitar chord references are cluttered or paywalled for a simple lookup task.

What I built

A fast, clean chord/reference tool for guitar players.

Key decision

TODO — add the specific decision that shaped this build (Pratham to confirm).

Finance Tracker

A personal finance tracker, and a hands-on way to learn backend engineering.

Problem

TODO — add the problem this project solves (Pratham to confirm).

What I built

A personal finance tracker built with FastAPI as part of a structured Python learning track.

Key decision

TODO — add the key decision behind this build (Pratham to confirm).

How I build

How I actually work.

Five steps I default to on every build — from a weekend project to a growing product. No process theater, just what keeps things honest as scope grows.

01

Understand the domain

Before writing a line of code, I map the users, constraints, and end goal. I want the actual workflow, not just the feature request.

02

Isolate the core

I identify the workflows that matter most and build around them first.

03

Build with leverage

I use AI tooling to accelerate implementation and exploration, but I drive the architecture and stay accountable for the code.

04

Keep the system coherent

As the product grows, I care about boundaries: architecture, data, APIs, UI. Every feature should make the system better, not just bigger.

05

Ship, learn, iterate

I prioritize getting a working version in front of real use rather than predicting everything upfront.

I'd rather own the whole problem.

I'm a frontend developer working across React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling. I gravitate toward products where understanding the workflow matters as much as the implementation.

That shows up in how I've worked — freelancing full-stack on a care platform for an Australian client, then moving from intern to full-time frontend engineer on an algorithmic trading platform, where I've worked across everything from strategy-builder UIs to an internal SEO audit agent.

Outside of client work, I'm deepening my backend fundamentals through FastAPI and Python — mostly so the systems I build end-to-end make sense on both sides of the API, not just the UI.

Technical depth

What I reach for, and why.

Not a proficiency chart. Grouped by why, not just what.

Frontend & UI

The interface is part of the product, not a layer added at the end.

Testing & Quality

I'd rather catch a regression in CI than in a bug report.

Backend & Data

I prefer simple systems that keep important logic close to the data.

Tooling & Workflow

Simple, boring tooling that gets out of the way — fewer moving parts between a commit and a deploy.

Bring me the whole problem.

Tell me what you're building, what's getting in the way, and what you're working with. A paragraph is enough to start.
